GIST Experience

GIS Analyst at LCUB (March 2024 - Present)

  • Manage GIS operations across multiple departments, such as Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, and Fiber, utilizing ESRI software.
  • Streamline workflows by developing automated scripts and processes in R and Python that improve efficiency.
  • Support ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure, including system upgrades, server migrations, and integration with IT.
  • Provide spatial analysis and mapping products that support asset management, emergency response, and long-term planning.
  • Configure and maintain Trimble GPS and mobile data collection systems, improving accuracy and accessibility of field-collected data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, partner utilities, and external agencies to deliver data, reports, and visualization that inform operation and strategic planning.
  • Lead communication of complex GIS data through maps, dashboards, and visualizations.

TNView Undergraduate Research

  • Performed undergraduate research for TennesseeView, with a focus on remote sensing and geospaital data science.
  • Project example: Converting MrSID image files to GeoTIFF, and producing an interactive web app.

Resource Mapping for UT Institute for Public Service

  • Produced resource maps for the Substance Misuse and Addiction Resource for Tennessee (SMART) Initiative.
  • Compiled and cleaned data, geocoded addresses, and created an interactive web experience for users to locate resources efficiently.
